As you may know, we had to close down GR2 a little while back because of changes at Live365. At the time of shutdown, we were in the top 5 Punk Stations and had been for some time.

To continue to give everyone their punk music fix, I've set up what was GR2: The Punk Phase on the Imeem Social Network and have embedded it here for your listening pleasure.

Some advantages to this:

1. You can Shuffle tracks, repeat, skip as much as you want (click the arrow next to the play and ff buttons.
2. No commercials and just a single GR sweeper (which is very cool anyhow)
3. We can do any music format we want
4. You don't have to register on Imeem to listen.
5. It's FREE!

It will likely take a few seconds to load, so be patient...

Very cool Sarge! I think it's time to move GR1 over to IMEEM. What bit rate did you have to make the music?

I hope you used the TF2 sweeper! That was my favorite!

ummmm...bit rate.....was whatever the mp3s I have are encoded at. Mostly 128, some 192, some higher.

Hmmm.... Interesting. I may have to redo all my music then as it's all 64k MP3 Pro.

BTW, I listened for a while. I think this is a good solution. My only complaint is song transitions have too much dead air. I think it's a loading or buffering thing.

I also didn't edit them to get rid of the dead air if I hadn't already done so for the station.

The other cool thing is that you can grab songs that other people have put up and add them to your playlist - that might save you a bit of time from recoding stuff biggrin.gif, although you have to find it biggrin.gif

We should also be able to embed a playlist on the GR front page.

It also has a pretty nice search feature, breaking it down to group music and playlists to search through all at once.. interesting indeed.

Imeem was purchased by MySpace and so GR no longer has an Imeem site sad.gif

I am not particularly interested in entering the cesspool that is Myspace so I'm not doing anything at the moment. I'll be editing any embedded music lists that I find to remove them.
